Event Description

One of the underlying areas that's often overlooked with mobile technologies is its usage of spectrum, which is one of the fundamental mediums that enable applications and solutions such as video & audio streaming (think Pandora or mobile TV) or social networking (think Facebook on iPhone).

However, gaining the most bandwidth and thereby ability to offer greater and better services comes at the price of managing the spectrum that costs billions of dollars. However, company such as Shared Spectrum has taken a closer look at spectrum usage and realize that "less than a third of the allocated radio spectrum is being used at any given time." As a result, SSC has developed technologies that take advantage of such empty spectrum capacity by dynamically adapting the spectral environment and changing its transceiving parameters accordingly. Thereby, enabling new systems and/or solutions to access the same spectrum more efficiently without causing harmful interference with legacy systems.

Join us on Monday, April 13th, we invite you to hear Mark McHenry, CEO of Shared Spetrum, present to you how spectrum holders can get more out of their authorized bandwidth by making their own applications more spectrally diverse or monetizing excess capacity through leasing to others.

Speaker:
Mark McHenry - CEO and Founder of Shared Spectrum Company
