Kathie Legg, Executive Director and Co-Founder
Kathie Legg is a mobile technology consultant and the co-founder/executive director of MobileMonday DC. Ms. Legg has provided strategy and marketing consulting services to such companies as the Los Angeles Times, University of Southern California's Institute for Creative Technologies, Buzzwire, and the American Association of Political Consultants and Public Affairs Professionals.
Ms. Legg previously served as a political producer at Yahoo!, where she directed Web 2.0 integration and optimization campaigns. Prior to that, she was the business development manager at MSHC Partners, where she specialized in developing new political outreach tools and designing innovative SMS campaigns. Ms. Legg worked as the lead researcher and assistant editor of The Politics-to-Go Handbook: A Guide to Using Mobile Technology in Politics at the Institute for Politics, Democracy & the Internet at The George Washington University.
Ms. Legg received her B.A. in Political Science and Information Science and Policy from The State University of New York at Albany, and her M.A. in Political Management from The George Washington University.
Mark Chernisky, Board Member
Mark Chernisky is Marketing Director at Corsec Security, Inc. in Fairfax, a ten year old information security technology consulting firm. They provide 3rd party validation project management solutions to the best and the brightest telecom, wireless and IT security firms. Mark focuses on direct marketing, lead generation, outreach and some public relations efforts.
Prior to Corsec, Mark founded LinkStrong, LLC, offering firms B2B marketing and business development project consulting services. Prior to LinksStrong, LLC, Mark worked in B2B marketing and lead generation capacities in the technology, professional services, international environmental technology and environmental engineering sectors for 14 years in northern Virginia and Knoxville, Tennesee.
Mark was born in Montana and grew up in the DC region. He has a BS from James Madison University and an MS from The University of Tennesse, Knoxville. He resides in northern Virginia with his wife and 3 kids.
Rich Leung, Board Member

Rich Leung began his career working for various engineering contracting companies in the DC metro area before settling at MITRE as a Sr. Communication Engineer. Currently, he is working in the CAASD group performing variety of studies, analysis, and R&D effort for the FAA and other related aeronautical mobile communication projects. Additionaly, Rich serves as a Director of Technology for a DC-based organization that provides products & services to Foreign Service and other Executive Branch personnel worldwide.
Rich Leung received his bachelor and a master in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech and he is now currently a Master Canadiate at University of Pennslvania / Wharton Business school.
Daniel R. Odio is a co-founder of PointAbout, a company that is focused on unlocking innovation in the mobile space. PointAbout mobilizes brands, allowing companies to connect with users through the phone. You can learn more about PointAbout on the company blog.
Daniel is primarily focused on operations, sales and marketing and serves as PointAbout's Chief Operating Officer.
Previously, Daniel was the founder of Cardéa Commercial Real Estate Advisors, a commercial real estate brokerage specializing in replacement property for investors, and DROdio Real Estate, Inc, a residential real estate brokerage. Both are based in Washington, DC with offices in Las Vegas, NV. Daniel is a registered securities representative (Series 22 & 63 licenses).
Daniel has been featured on CNN, CNBC, TLC, The Wall Street Journal and many other publications for his innovative use of technology in the real estate market.
Prior to real estate, Daniel was the VP, Sales of AcceleratedServers, a Beowulf supercomputing cluster company whose customers included the Department of Defense and the entertainment industry, including Paramount Pictures.
Daniel was a member of General Electric's Technical Leadership Program while at GE for several years, working in Latin America, including Brazil and Argentina. Daniel graduated from the University of Virginia with a BS in Commerce, speaks Spanish and Portuguese, and resides in Washington, DC.
Suneela (Suni) Vaidya, Board Member
Suni recently joined i3m3 Solutions, a boutique mobile consulting firm, as a Partner, from Distributive Networks (DN), the mobile technology company that provided SMS services for the "Obama for America" Presidential campaign. Prior to her role as SVP of Sales at DN, she spent 6 1/2 years as a Senior Director at Blackboard Inc., (NASDAQ: BBBB), an e-learning company. Suni has a history of achievement in sales and management. At DN, she developed partnerships with HBO, AOL, Armani Exchange, Vodafone, IMI Global, IDEO, the Secret and Avis/Budget, to name a few. At Blackboard, she created the client retention model which accounted for 40+% of the company's annual revenue. While leading Blackboard's international operations, she introduced the first multi-language, e-learning platform to non-English speaking markets, opened offices in Amsterdam and Tokyo and published the first, widely adopted business plan for overseas growth.
Suni currently serves as Co-Chairperson of Mentoring subcommittee on the Women In Wireless Committee of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA). She is a member of the Northern Virginia Tech Council and AdClub of Metropolitan Washington. As the Academic Liaison for the Academic Outreach committee of the MMA, Suni co-edited the first two International Journals of Mobile Marketing.
Suni holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Richmond, where she double majored in English and Journalism, and is a very active alumna.
Grant Allen, Board Member
Allen is a Vice President with Core Capital after joining the firm in 2007 with nearly six years of strategy consulting and telecommunications industry experience. Most recently, Grant was at Liberty Associated Partners, where he worked with the CEO of Jingle Networks’ 1-800-FREE-411, and Microsoft Corporation, where he was a Product Manager in the Mobile & Embedded Devices division and developed competitive strategy for the Windows Mobile smartphone operating system.
Previously, Grant was a consultant at Dean & Company, where he focused on transitioning telecom infrastructure providers to new growth sectors such as mobile media and location-based services, as well as cost reduction strategy for wireline carriers. He began his career working with a number of young companies, including Bates White, an economics consulting firm; Nextera Interactive, a Internet incubator and IT consulting firm; and A-k Presence, a web design and IT services firm he co-founded. He is a frequent speaker on wireless and new media industry topics and is actively involved with a number of non-profit organizations including Washington, DC-based FareShare and the Ocular Melanoma Foundation, which he also founded.
Grant received his B.S.E. in Civil Engineering cum laude from Duke University and an M.B.A. with an individualized major in Private Equity and Venture Capital from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania. There, he was a Citi Foundation Leadership Fellow, an Executive Director of the Wharton Graduate Association, and sat on the board of the Wharton Alumni Association.
Board Involvement:Grant represents Core on the Boards of Directors of buySAFE, LimeLife, and Mobo Systems.
